Beyond Ever After STEAM Professional Development Workshop (geared to PK-5 teachers and assistants, librarians, and administrators):  Join Dr. Diane Jackson Schnoor for a half or full day professional development workshop that helps you learn how to build connections between diverse fractured fairy and folk tales, authentic STEAM experiences, and the curriculum. You'll explore strategies to get your students fully engaged and wanting to learn more; and walk away with a new perspective on traditional stories and their fractured cousins, as well as strategies and ideas guaranteed to awaken your sense of wonder and to help you immediately build science and STEAM connections in your early childhood, elementary, or library setting. Learn how to connect science and math to  literacy, oral communication, gross motor skills, and dramatic and artistic play. Every activity and strategy can be completed using materials you already have in your classroom, school, or home education setting!

You'll explore  strategies to uncover books that provide a windows and mirrors experience for your students, as well as discover ways to connect these books to the curriculum through authentic and exciting STEAM learning. Your faculty will experience a renewed sense of joy and walk away with ideas to take back and apply the next day!

All programs can be delivered in-person or virtually, and include a PDF rich with multicultural read alouds and additional hands-on activities that can be done at home or at school.
