  5. Glaciers Short Video: Most glaciers around the world are shrinking or disappearing because of climate change. Over the past year, glaciers have lost a huge amount of ice—about the same as cutting 94 feet of ice from the top of each glacier. This melting is a major reason why sea levels are rising. As glaciers shrink, it also becomes harder for people and animals to get water since many rely on glaciers for fresh water. Since 1987, every year has seen glaciers lose more ice than they gain, showing how much Earth's climate is changing. (source: https://www.climate.gov/news-features/understanding-climate/climate-change-mountain-glaciers). On today's Science Sunday, Dr. Diane takes you on a glacier hike to Solheimajokull Glacier ("Home of the Sun Glacier") in Iceland. Where would you like to explore with Dr. Diane in 2025? What nature topics should we cover? What has you curious, hopeful, or worried?
